Counslr Scholars Program
Counslr Scholars is more than a contest: it’s an initiative to redefine how students think about mental health. Each year, Counslr invites young people to share how they prioritize their mental health to help normalize conversations around mental health and to empower young people to use their voices to create change.
Through short multimedia submissions and creative storytelling, students showcase real, relatable ways they prioritize their mental well-being. This initiative gives students at participating schools a platform to:
Raise awareness around mental health
Reduce stigma through authentic storytelling
Inspire peers to prioritize their well-being
Encourage help-seeking behaviors in approachable ways
Winners are chosen across participating schools based on a holistic review of their submissions, including:
Adherence to contest guidelines
Strength of mental health advocacy
Impact in reducing stigma
Authenticity and creativity of their voice
Accuracy and consistency of information shared
