Police
Some calls stay with you long after the report is filed.
Text a licensed counselor from the car, the locker room or the couch. Nobody at the station has to know.

third call to the same house this month. can't stop thinking about the kids in there
That's a lot to carry home. I'm glad you texted. What's sitting with you most right now?
Ravi P., LCSWFire and EMS
You clear the call. It doesn't always clear you.
One run ends and the next tone drops. Text between calls, from the bunk room, or in the driveway before you walk back inside.

rough pediatric call today. everyone's acting normal. i'm not
You don't have to act normal here. Want to walk me through it, at whatever pace works?
Marcus T., LCSWDispatch
You hear the worst moment, then never learn how it ends.
Dispatchers carry the call nobody else heard, with no closure. Counslr's patented SOS feature can help connect someone in an emergency to the nearest 911 center. The people in that center deserve someone to text, too.

caller went quiet mid-sentence and the line dropped. i'll never know
Not knowing is its own kind of weight. I'm here. Tell me about the call.
Amira H., LCATMilitary and veterans
Asking for help shouldn't feel like a career risk.
A private line for service members and veterans, from active duty through the transition home. It adds to behavioral health and the resources you already have. It doesn't replace them.

been out 8 months. new job is fine. i just miss my guys
That makes sense. You left a whole team, not just a job. What do you miss most?
Elena G., LMHCFamilies
Spouses and kids carry the job too.
The deployments, the missed holidays, the call nobody mentions at dinner. Plans can include family members ages 10 and up. Teens 10–17 join with a parent's consent.

his unit gets back next week and i don't know who's coming home
That's a hard thing to hold while you wait. Want to talk through what you're feeling?
Rosa M., LMHCThe job takes a toll most people never see.

Questions, answered.
Is this therapy?
No. Counslr is non-clinical support by text from licensed counselors. It works alongside therapy and EAPs, not instead of them. When someone needs more, their counselor helps them find the right next step.
Will my department or command know I used it?
No. Organizations only see anonymized totals, like how many sessions happened and which hours are busiest. Never who texted or what they said.
Can my family use it?
If your plan includes family members, yes: ages 10 and up, with a parent's consent for teens 10–17.
Who will I be texting?
A licensed counselor (LMHC, LCSW, LMFT, PsyD or LPC), based in the U.S. Never a bot, and no AI in sessions. The first reply comes in under two minutes, on average.
Do you work with military organizations?
Yes. Counslr partners with military organizations as well as departments, unions and municipalities. Counslr is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Department of Defense, the Department of Veterans Affairs or any government agency.
What about a crisis?
Counslr isn't a crisis service. In a life-threatening situation, call 911, or call or text 988. Veterans and service members can reach the Veterans Crisis Line by dialing 988, then pressing 1. The in-app SOS feature can help connect someone to the nearest 911 dispatch center.
Give them somewhere to set it down.
In an emergency, call 911. Call or text 988 for the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. Veterans, service members and their families can reach the Veterans Crisis Line by dialing 988, then pressing 1.
Counslr is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Department of Defense, the Department of Veterans Affairs or any government agency. Counslr offers non-clinical wellness support and is not a crisis service.
